Matthew Bowers sought to create a utilitarian object that evoked a sense of antiquity. The iconic exterior motifs were initially inspired by an old rice paper book of Hanko stamps, found in Kyoto. Concrete symbolizes human civilization, progress, and technological advancement since ancient times. Matthew's work uses symbols, words, and the markings of civilization to tell a story when their original meaning has been lost. This is a wonderful artifact to fill your space with earthy aromas.
Scent notes: Natural wood smoke, with a cedar base, top accents of vanilla, cinnamon and oak.
